Last week we delighted in the swimming and water confidence skills demonstrated by even our youngest students during our Early Years and Primary Swimming Galas.
Some of our dedicated NIS Seals represented NIS at an inter-schools swim meet hosted at the British School of Jakarta. This was a significant event as the swimmers were competing in a fifty meter Olympic sized swimming pool – slightly bigger than our own NIS pool!
The U8 football team have been going strong on the weekend matches with a 6-0 win over a Nurul Yaqin School, a 4-1 win over the German school and a 0-0 draw against the British School.
It was a superb team effort with a victory earned with team spirit and a strong defensive performance from the players. It was great to have all the players and supporters energised.
On Saturday 10 November 2018, the children and parents started early as they went to Bogor for the annual JASIS Athletics Carnival in the beautiful Botanical gardens.
NIS Jakarta, comprising of 27 eager contestants divided over five age groups, competed in the JASIS Athletic Tournament in Bogor among several other international schools.
