NAS Jakarta joined the global family in May 2017, and since August 2020, I've had the privilege to lead the school. And what a wonderful school it is! You'll be struck first by what a lovely environment this is - a green oasis of learning where every child is nurtured to flourish. Our welcoming atmosphere and leafy green campus provide a haven for our truly international community in the heart of one of the world’s busiest cities.
Our amazing students are the lifeblood of our school, as enthusiastic young people with an appetite for learning and thirst for knowledge. We know that happy and secure children thrive, so we ensure that each day matters for every child.
We deliver a dynamic education to our young learners aged 18 months to 12 years old, both face-to-face on campus, and virtually when our students are learning from home. We use a blended curriculum based on the English National Curriculum and International Primary Curriculum (IPC), which focus on high expectations, key skills, and knowledge and understanding. They also encourage excellent attitudes to learning and metacognition.
Our international educators are highly experienced and qualified, and our excellent standards in learning and teaching create a curriculum that's relevant, rich, and rewarding. We want our students to develop as well-rounded, global citizens, and so, alongside their academic curriculum, we place great value on the visual and performing arts, sport, service, and extracurricular activities. We challenge students to extend their learning, follow their passions, and be enthusiastic about the positive impact they can make in the world.
The wellbeing of our children is also paramount. We place great emphasis on building high-quality personal and social skills, which have a positive impact on standards of achievement and attitudes to learning. We place great value in our working partnership with parents. Integral to your child’s successful learning is the engagement between home and school in the pursuit of excellence. All our staff strive to create a climate of learning with strong, open, and positive partnerships between adults, children, and the wider community to ensure the wellbeing of all.

That means our expertise at running great schools, our unique collaborations with leading education providers like MIT and The Juilliard School, our ability to attract and retain great teachers, and our unique opportunities to engage with learners across the globe online.
We also provide additional specialist programmes for our Dutch students, leading to the Dutch National Tests. Other language programmes are Indonesian language and English as a second language for our students who need to strengthen their English skills.
