Yewon graduated from university with a BA in music, with her major in viola. Coming from a musical family, her talents were expressed at a young age when she joined a children's choir. With a natural ability to connect with students and encourage their musical voices, Yewon has honed her teaching skills through years of teaching in several of Asia's most renowned international schools.
Yewon uses music as a medium to explore how every child has something special to be expressed, to help them make their own special music. Through Yewon's own passion for electronic music and for conducting, she creates an immersive experience in which students explore their own musical voices.
Yewon is a lifelong learner who spends much of her life outside of work learning how to be a better teacher, learning how to conduct and use synthesisers, and playing in small ensembles. It is this joint passion for learning and music that make her such an integral part of the NAIS Pudong community.
