NAIS Pudong Scholarships
For the first time since July 2019, Nord Anglia is beyond excited to be able to bring students together in person for collaboration and exploration activities across New York City as part of the NAE-UNICEF Summit.
Student ambassadors from our network of 82 sister schools went through a rigorous selection process to support the event in a variety of roles, and we're delighted that our very own Year 11 student, Yeonjin K, has been selected to act as a journalist for the event. This will allow Yeonjin to take a leadership role alongside only three other students in telling stories from the summit on the global NAE.com website. These students are all exemplars, chosen for their leadership qualities and commitment to making a positive impact on their communities, and Yeonjin's selection is further evidence of the incredible work of our own NAIS Pudong Social Impact group, led by Miss Mona Wazzi who had this to say:
"This will be a life-changing opportunity for Yeonjin and something which will be invaluable as she heads into Year 12 to commence the IBDP in August. It will also undoubtedly inspire her peers in NAIS Pudong who see the incredible opportunities available to them as part of our global collaboration with UNICEF. I can't wait to read Yeonjin's reports over the summer break!"
Once in New York, Yeonjin and the other students will be joining workshops led by UNICEF and Generation Global, with a focus on the Sustainable Development Goals. You'll be able to read more about this - and indeed Yeonjin's reporting - right here on our WeChat channel later in the summer.
