As Nord Anglia International School (NAIS) Shanghai, Pudong continues its commitment to enhancing student learning, the collaboration between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Nord Anglia Education (NAE) has grown to be a fantastic initiative to foster a dynamic and enriching educational environment for NAIS Pudong students. This partnership, bridging together the expertise of MIT’s faculty and students with Nord Anglia’s global school network, provides our pupils with a distinctive opportunity to develop essential collaborative skills, gain exposure to real-world problems, and participate in challenging competitions.
Monthly highlights at NAIS Pudong! Our Year 4 students had the amazing opportunity to visit the Zotter Chocolate Theatre to learn all about where chocolate comes from and how it is made. A series of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities were designed for students in Key Stage 3. We participated the ACAMIS basketball competition, a recent thrilling event held at Xiamen International School, where teams from Hong Kong, Dalian, Beijing, Xiamen, and Shenzhen exhibited exceptional skills and teamwork, creating an electric atmosphere of competition and teamwork.
On the vast majority of Tuesdays at NAIS Pudong we hold a dedicated Talk for parents, with each session focusing on an educational or other topic relevant to our community. Various member of the academic and leadership team will talk to parents of our children about their education, how the school delivers lessons, and to parents of primary school students about the school's activities for students and their significance, helping them to gain insight into how their child explores learning at school through play and other communication.
Following the recent article on AI, in which our Principal shared her thoughts on the technology’s impact in schools, the INSIGHTS team has delved further into some of the challenges and concerns that parents and academic staff now have over AI use by students across the world.

A huge shoutout to NAIS Pudong's victorious Basketball team! They marched to glory in the SISAC Boys championships in Suzhou last Saturday – a phenomenal achievement! Despite being a smaller school, NAIS Pudong boasts powerhouse sportsmen and women who can perform at the highest level not only as individuals but as excellent teams too. We believe in unlocking every student's potential and honing their unique talents, continually building confidence.
