The World Scholars Cup is an international academic competition with students participating from over 50 countries.
The Regional Rounds took place in Manila, with schools competing in four events; The Scholars Bowl, The Scholars Challenge, Collaborative Writing, and Team Debates.
Five students from KSM took part. Aagya, Yr 7, Lia Yr 8, Billy, Yr 9, and Dat, Vito and Cerenity, Yr 9, researched specialist subjects in advance of the competition which included; Science: To Shoot For the Moon, History: History of Conspiracies, Literature: The Voice of the Almost Impossible, Art and music: Fragments of an Improbable Universe, Social studies: Predicting the Future and Special area: Modern Mythology.
Our students performed most admirably and brought back an impressive haul of medals and trophies. We are incredibly proud that they have qualified for a Global Round so watch this space!
