Message from the Principal - Message from the Deputy Principal

Dear Parents,

As we begin our third week of the term, it is important to recognise how quickly students and staff have settled into the day to day routines of the school. Students are becoming familiar with the expectations of their teachers and their new year groups and the “buzz” of learning is palpable across each campus. We have already begun our Quality assurance across the school and it is always a real pleasure to go into classrooms and experience the teaching and learning in action.

Writing this update has made me feel very reflective and proud of where we are as a school and how strong we are as a community, having shared the last 10 years together. Yesterday, 1st September, marked the anniversary of our first day as a school in 2014. We opened our Lam Tin campus with nearly 500 students from Year 1 – 7, all sharing the excitement of creating a new school. The last 10 years have seen us grow across all year groups and we are now an all through school from 3-18 with bespoke campuses for each stage of education. Looking across each campus and seeing how each one has developed and the achievements of our students is a real pleasure.

With advance warning that there may be a typhoon later this week, we will be sharing information within each campus for the arrangements for learning, should the physical campus be closed to students. We do hope this does not happen but we will ensure all parents and students know what the plans are for this eventuality.

Best regards,

Sarah Harley
