Year 6 were delighted to sell their individually 'Peace' badges as part of our celebration of international day.
Throughout their ‘Peace’ topic, Year 6 learned about the ways in which peace has been established and maintained throughout history. The highlight of the topic was the "Peace" badges the children designed after they studied the powerful impact peace symbols have had throughout history. The finished products were so well considered and the Year 6 children loved seeing the buzz their badges created around the school.
All money raised is being donated to UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. On current counting, the children have raised around $10,000 for the UNHCR which is a fabulous achievement! Well done to all of the Year 6 pupils and teachers for all their hard work this year and for the peace message they conveyed to us all.
