Back in November Nord Anglia’s Global Campus launched their Virtual Young Musician of The Year Competition. We have previously had our own version at NAIS Hong Kong, but this was now on a global scale! Over 1000 students from 64 schools entered in a wide variety of categories, from piano to percussion, strings to singers (there was even a staff category this year!).
The calibre of performances was incredibly high, and I know many students from NAISHK entered and will have proudly represented us as a school. This year we are pleased to say congratulations to Lazarus Lui, for attaining a special mention in Popular Voice for his age category!
As mentioned earlier there was a staff category, where any Nord Anglia staff member from Admin to TLA’s could enter, and they did! I myself feel proud to have received a special mention in the Brass Popular category, but please share in my congratulations to Year 2 teacher; Mr George Ford, for coming 2nd in the Classical Piano/Keyboard category an incredibly tough section with a large number of entrants!
Plus; huge congratulations to Primary Teaching and Learning Assistant Ms. Karen Domingo who came 1st in the Popular Voice category, again another highly contested category!
Well done to all students and staff who entered the global competition and took the time to make some live music!
