The United Kingdom Mathematics Trust has been running challenges for secondary school students for over 20 years. This year was the first time Nord Anglia students had been invited to compete, and seven of our Higher Level Mathematics students from Year 12 and Year 13 took part.
Although the level of mathematics required to answer the challenges is often very familiar, the way in which the knowledge has to be applied requires insight, deduction and creativity.
A special congratulations to Jaden and Allen who both secured gold, with Jaden winning best in school. We received silver awards for Steven and Brian and bronze for Mattia and Ryan. These are great achievements for students. Look out for mathematics challenges for other year groups later on after the winter break.
