This morning, our Battle of the Books (Mandarin) team were awarded their certificates by Principal Mr. Cooklin.

Here's a summary from Mandarin Teacher, Miss Kim Lau:

With a round of applause, the Chinese Battle of the Books contest began at 8.30am on Tuesday 12 April.

We had 12 students attend the competition, namely Michael Chen, Rebecca Chen, Andrew Chim, Leo Zhang, Louis Zhang, Judy Zhu, Sophia Gong, Mazy Law, Skylar Zhu, Tim Zhu, Annie Bai and Sissi Yu. It was the first time for NAIS to join a formal inter-school competition like this.

During the competition, I could see that their hard work began to pay off. Each round, they answered fluently with confidence. They were creative, enthusiastic and mature. It was very encouraging seeing them winning points – I felt extremly proud of them. Winning the competition was completely down to them and, the group’s teamwork and determination. However, I believe that our students will not stop here and continue to do just as well in the future! Congratulations to them!
