Our parent guest reporter this weekend gave a gripping account of the U12 Basketball tournament held at NAIS today.
"The Knights started off with plenty of enthusiasm and some good defensive work against the strong DBIS team. This paid off and at half time the score was even. There were some flares of brilliance, but the sharp shooting of one or two of the opposition proved too much and DBIS pulled ahead.
However, the Knights picked themselves up brilliantly, and stormed to victory in their second game against CAIS. They used the valuable lessons they learnt from the first game to pull together as a team and really work on their passing and defensive play. It was a well deserved victory.
The tournament ended with an edge-of-your-seat battle with arguably the best team of the day, SIS. Mr. Malone could barely contain himself as the score board yo-yoed to the nail biting final seconds where sadly a penalty was awarded against us and SIS took the lead just as the final whistle blew. The Knights played their hearts out, and showed a marked improvement on last week. Well done team. Go Knights!"
Well done to our Knights!
