Today in Primary assembly, Caernarfon took all the awards in last week's Inter House Football competition for both Key Stage 1 and 2 - well done!
Head of PE, Mr. Martin Pate launched the Global Games Asia 2016, where we will be the host for this 3-day event taking place in Hong Kong. He announced the names of the pupils who will be competing for NAIS Knights. What started as the ‘Nord Anglia Asia Games’ has already grown into the ‘Global Games’ as similar sporting events are now being held among our schools in North America and Europe.
A special thanks to Mary in Class 4E who only just joined NAIS - she played beautifully on the piano this morning!
In Secondary, High Commendations in Art go to:
Year 7: Gigi Liu, Kate Wong
Year 8: Sebastian Mak, Kevin Du
It was a full Secondary assembly with presentations from a number of our specialist teachers.
Head of Pastoral, Mr. David Boyd began by reminding the students about road safety outside our school and how important it is to use the proper road crossings. Head of Science, Mr. McKinnon spoke to our Years 7 and 8 about personal hygiene, reinforcing how important it is as our young students move through puberty.
Head of English and History, Mr. David Robinson introduced a very important visitor coming to our school, Mr. Dov Landau, a Holocaust survivor who is coming into the school on 2 February. He was keen to invite any Year 7 students interested in learning more about this pivotal period in recent history.
Finally, Mr. Deri Reid introduced the upcoming Global Games Asia similar to the Primary assembly.
