Ruairi Quinn is an Architect and Urbanist/Town Planner who was one of Ireland's senior politicians for more than four decades in Leinster House, the home of Ireland's National Parliament.
A Cabinet Minister in four different Coalition Governments, he was Labour's first minister for Finance and subsequently Minister for Education and Skills, in the Fine Gael / Labour Coalition Government, 2011 to 2014, when he retired from Cabinet and stood down from Dáil Éireann.
He is one of Ireland's most experienced politicians, widely known within the European Union and beyond.
He has maintained a strong interest and involvement in educational issues and has been actively involved in helping to establish the IB School in Dublin.
