Olivia Rissik

Art Teacher
Olivia Rissik - Olivia Rissik

Olivia began her teaching career in 2013. She taught in South Korea, Italy, and Thailand before moving to Russia. The International School of Moscow has been the highlight of her teaching career thus far. She credits this to her brilliant students and the fantastic teachers she has worked with.

All young artists should be given strong foundation skills in art. Having studied Fine Art at university with further studies in digital art, Olivia’s background and knowledge in traditional mediums and digital painting allow her students to learn across multiple disciplines. There are many other transferable skills in art. Students are taught responsibility, accountably, perseverance and patience. They are taught how to research and develop ideas and grow their critical thinking.

Growing up, Olivia was taught to value education. She is consistently studying to be a better artist and to pass these skills onto her students. As a teacher, she tries to learn from her students as much as educate them. She values rapport and creating a warm environment so that her students love coming to class.

In her free time, Olivia works on digital paintings and ink illustrations. She is always looking for art galleries and exhibitions to visit, especially when she travels.
