ISM Rosinka Colour Run for Melisa

ISM Rosinka Colour Run for Melisa On Friday 28th May, students at our Rosinka Campus underwent one of their biggest challenges by deciding to collectively run from Rosinka to Saint Petersburg, some 685km away, in the name of charity and, of course, a new heart for Melisa. DSC_0063

Throughout the day, children of all year groups worked tirelessly to march through the laps in pursuit of those valuable kilometres – aiming high and never giving up.

The day started with Year Two children, who set us off on a fantastic effort by collectively running over 70 kilometres alone. Our triumphant Year One, however, managed to match their 70 kilometre success. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Year One and Year Two, we were well on our way to achieve our target. Fast forward to lunch, we had amassed an astonishing total of 247km, with Upper Primary students yet to get started.

Upper Primary students showed the same grit and determination to achieve as much distance as possible during the afternoon, just as EYFS and Lower Primary did. It was indeed an electric atmosphere with pupils encouraging each other to keep going. As we drew the Colour Run to a close, the school achieved a fantastic total of 483 kilometres. Just short of our total, but still a genuinely monumental effort by all.

At the end of our vibrant events, students from Reception to Year Six took part in a colour throw where pupils threw non-toxic paint at each other in what was two minutes of mayhem. By the end of the day, all students, covered from head to toe in paint, were exhausted from all the fun – a truly memorable event for the students of The International School of Moscow.
