The International School of Moscow was inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) between October the 15th and October the 18th.
Once again, we have been graded as ‘Excellent’ in every section of our inspection report. This is the third successive time that our school has achieved such an outstanding result, following our previous ‘Excellent’ across-the-board inspection reports in 2013 and 2016.
Our ISI inspection report is a fitting testimony to the way everyone in our school community has come together to create a school of which we can all be extremely proud. It also highlights the quality of our students’ learning and achievement, as well as their personal development.
ISI is a United Kingdom government-recognised inspectorate. It inspects private schools in the United Kingdom and overseas and provides an independent assessment of schools and how well they meet the requirements, including quality of education provided; welfare, health and safety of students, as well as the spiritual development of students.
Our school’s mission is to provide an education that is comparable in standard to top independent schools in the United Kingdom, both in terms of academic achievement and the personal development of our students. We are therefore delighted that ISI has concluded that we are succeeding.
The report includes three sections. Section One introduces our school; Section Two covers all the regulatory information necessary to be a fully-compliant British School Overseas (BSO); Section Three - Inspection of Educational Quality (from page 8 onwards) contains the most pertinent information. The report can be accessed on here.
Some of the main highlights of the report include:
“Pupils display excellent knowledge and understanding in all areas of learning.”
“Pupils’ attitudes to learning are exceptional. They are highly motivated to work hard and become engaged in their studies. The high level of pride that pupils take in their work is evident throughout their neat, mostly orderly and well-organised books, and their productivity is reflected by the high volume of their work.”
“Pupils of all ages feel very safe physically and very secure because of effective physical security and levels of supervision but also excellent teaching on issues such as internet safety and the importance of a balanced lifestyle.”
We would like to congratulate our students for the exemplary way that they represent our school and thank our staff for their hard work and dedication.
