On Friday the 22nd of November, ISM Rosinka took part in the global charity event ‘Movember’ that aims to change the face of men’s health and raise awareness about it. Over 239 students and 40 teachers participated in this incredible event in support of men’s cancer charities.
The event consisted of a whole range of activities which the children enjoyed very much. They wore Movember wristbands, painted mustaches on their faces and took photographs in our Movember photo booth. The highlight of the event and probably the most exciting part was when the students actually shaved the teachers.
There were some very nervous teachers on campus! Students could buy raffle tickets to have the chance to shave a teacher. Around 50 students had the opportunity to do this in front of a live assembly audience. Students as young as two years old shaved the teachers (with help of course).
Mr Rowan, Mr Keach, Mr Bateson and Mr Charlton agreed to wax their legs if the school raised over 100,000 rubles. The school raised much more than this and Mrs Bush took great pleasure in waxing the legs of all three teachers in the assembly.
Thank you to all the students, parents and staff members who helped make this event so enjoyable. We are very much looking forward to the event again next year. See you again in Movember 2020!
