Entry requirements at Collège du Léman
Collège du Léman is an inclusive, academically non-selective school, which is open to children aged from 2 to 18. Your child can join us at any time in the academic year, so long as we have places available.
Step 1: Enquiry
Your admissions journey starts with our online enquiry form. You can get in touch with our friendly admissions team in other ways, too:
- Email us: admissions@cdl.ch.
- Call us: +41 22 775 56 56.
- Come and see us in Versoix, Geneva.
- Meet our boarding admissions team in a city near you (please get in touch with us to check availability).
Step 2: Application
Next, you’ll need to complete your child’s application form and send us the following documents:
- A copy of your child’s passport.
- A copy of your passport(s).
- A passport-style photo of your child.
- Copies of your child’s two most recent school reports.
- If applicable, a copy of any educational statements or reports that will help us understand how we can meet any additional learning needs.
Your child’s current school will also need to fill in our Confidential Report form.
Prospective boarding students also need to complete a video questionnaire.
You'll then need to pay a non-refundable application fee of CHF 500 per student. (Pay for 1 child / 2 children / 3 children / 4 children / 5 children).
English as an Additional Language
We may ask your child to take an online English placement test before we accept their application. This gives us an insight into their proficiency and helps us identify which programme will suit them best.
We offer an English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme for students who need help getting up to speed.
Step 3: Offer
Our academic and pastoral teams will review your application, which takes five working days. If applicable, they’ll also confirm whether your child needs any additional learning support.
Successful applicants will then receive a letter offering them a place at Collège du Léman.
Step 4: Enrolment
After you’ve accepted a place, we’ll formally enrol your child.
You’ll need to login to our electronic enrolment system and agree to our Tuition Summary, which outlines our services and associated fees. This is a binding contract.
Once enrolment is complete, our finance team will send you the following invoices, which you’ll need to pay within 14 days:
- A non-refundable admission fee.
- A refundable deposit.
- An advance on the coming year’s fees.
As soon as we’ve received payment, we’ll confirm your child’s start date. We’ll also send you a welcome pack containing all the information you need to prepare for their first day.
