On Tuesday we hosted the ‘Primary Speech and Poetry Competition Final’ with 14 finalists ranging from Year 3 to Year 6. Year 3 and 4 children focused on poetry recitals and Year 5 and 6 students focused on their own creative and innovative speeches. The evening was filled with talent and left the whole audience simply amazed by the children’s efforts and abilities to speak so confidently and eloquently.
The BVIS Upcycle Project has been created by BVIS HCMC’s teachers and students with the aims of reducing the uniform waste each year, raising awareness toward environment protection and inspiring our community to creatively take the action.
In an increasingly globalised world speaking two languages rather than just one, has obvious practical benefits linked to job opportunities and higher income potential. However, in recent years, scientists have begun to show that the advantages of bilingualism are even more significant than being able to converse with a wider range of people.
Since the very beginning, BVIS HCMC has shaped and developed a unique educational mission of Global Citizens – Vietnamese Perspective with the aim of nurturing a young, talented, ambitious generation who thrive within a globalisation environment without losing sight of who they are and where they come from.

Teachers often get asked by parents, “how can I help my child at home?” Experience shows that a strong home – school partnership helps children in their learning so BVIS teachers are always pleased to hear our parents asking how they can maintain a positive, supportive relationship with school for their child.
