Admissions Open 2025-2026
Little Dragons BVIS promotes positive child outcomes. Little Dragons BVIS is a precursor to BVIS Early Years and integrates care and education. The educational approach adopted by Little Dragons incorporates positive interactions between children and teachers, the provision of inspiring learning environments and ‘sustained shared thinking’ to extend children’s learning.
The role of the parent/carer at these sessions is a collaborative learning role. Parents will support their child’s learning and they will understand that how children learn is as important as what they learn. At Little Dragons, parents will join activities which will help their child progress along the developmental continuum.
Every week, we will share the activities through Class Dojo – an online learning portfolio. Class Dojo will be our tool for communication. Parents/carers may ask questions regarding their child’s development or request advice on childhood topics e.g., toileting, talking or simply celebrate the success through photographs of the sessions.
Little Dragons is led by highly qualified and experienced teachers. They will carefully plan stage appropriate activities for Little Dragons. Planning will be based on the Characteristics of Effective Learning, taken from the Early Years Curriculum.
There are three characteristics of effective learning:
