6. Regular campus inspection
As you know we take the health and safety of your children very seriously and is our number one priority. I wanted to inform you about some of the things that happen that you would not necessarily know about. They include:
Weekly testing of our fire control systems
Monthly Health and Safety meetings in EYFS/Primary and Secondary
Monthly playground audits
Monthly kitchen audits
Regular swimming pool audits
Termly evacuation and lockdown drills
Annual NAE Health and Safety audit
More recently we have also had full in-depth inspections by the local authorities of our canteen facilities and fire systems. I am pleased to say that on all these audits and inspections the school has not only passed, but exceeded requirements in many areas. We will of course continue to monitor and improve to ensure we are doing the very best we can for the safety of your children.
7. ECA started this week
ECAs started again this week and it was great to see so many great activities for the students to engage in.
8. Music Specialist from Juilliard School will visit BVIS Hanoi next week
As you know we are the only school group in the world to have a collaboration with Juilliard School New York. Next week Erin Wright from the Juilliard School will be visiting our school to work with our teachers to offer further training and support to continue our drive to ensure your children are getting the very best provision we can provide.
9. Year 8 & 9's parent-student conference
Last week we had a really successful parent-student conference afternoon for year 8 and 9 where students spent time talking with their parents about the work they are doing, their successes and learning opportunities to promote independence and reflection in the students through formal structured conversations with their parents. It was a great event and very well attended.
I wish you all a very relaxing weekend.
