The Volleyball Festival taking place in BVIS Hanoi last Saturday (May 11) gathered the representatives from many international schools in Hanoi. The volleyball teams of BVIS Hanoi, UNIS, St.Paul American School Hanoi, Concordia International School Hanoi, and Hanoi International School brought to the festival their best performance. The students had a day full of amazing sport activities, learning from each other, and making new friends.
Festival
The festival tournament lived up to its name with every team showing fantastic enthusiasm and team spirit. It was great to see both boys and girl’s teams developing their skill sets without the pressure of competition, just a purity for learning and enjoying the game. BVIS boys fought hard and through good teamwork got better and better as the festival went on. The highlights being their victory over UNIS and narrowly losing out to Concordia 32-33.
Competitive
On the competitive side the girl’s gave a very good fight for the championship position. Having not lost any games all season they stood a good chance of winning. After a very close game against UNIS the KS3 girls finished in, a very commendable, 2nd place. The boys played well throughout the day, working on their areas for improvement and listening to the advice of coaches. They made great progress throughout the season but unfortunately didn’t make it out of the group stages of the tournament.
