Admissions Open 2025-2026
This week has seen a huge amount if energy and activity on both sides of Royal City as the Secondary school performed the opening night of 'Oliver', a dramatisation of the great Dickens' novel, ‘Oliver Twist’ set in London of the 1850s. And what a treat! Visually impressive and technically adept, it showcased some great acting by the main parts and supporting cast and excellent stage presence. The students really do see the benefit of drama in developing language proficiency and the softer skills that stage performance brings.
On the Primary side, the Winter Arts Festival has also impressed. A collection of art, dance and music (collective and individual) showed the strides these youngsters have made. Many of the paintings are stunning. Dance being new on the curriculum has certainly caught the imagination too, and the children are enjoying the teamwork that comes from singing together in harmony.
I am extremely grateful to all the staff in the way they have organised and encouraged, marshalled and shepherded the students to produce such fine work. This does not happen by accident and is very much the product of great thought, care, attention to detail and a willingness to go the extra mile.
Well done to all involved. It really is testimony to the value of a broad and balanced curriculum that the British Vietnamese International School offers. My sincere thanks and appreciation to all.
I do hope parents were all able to witness the growing talent on display.
Have a great weekend!
