Council of International Schools (CIS)'s Accreditation
Over the course of the last year, we have undertaken both the Membership and the Pre-Accreditation visits from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and we embark on this Accreditation in earnest now.
The British Vietnamese International School is one that takes its responsibilities very seriously towards parents, students and staff. It is a reflective school and one that strives always to be improving and providing the best service to the children.
As parents will already know, over the course of the last year, we have undertaken both the Membership and the Pre-Accreditation visits from the Council of International Schools (CIS) and we embark on this Accreditation in earnest now. It has been a very rewarding time for the school and at the same time gives you as parents the confidence to know that it has been scrutinized closely and important questions are being asked to help that process of self-reflection.
We will be sending out a very important survey for parents and students to fill in. It is administered and collated by a third party organisation called the Endicott Trust. It is incredibly important that we hear your voice and those of your children. Unless we hear from you, we are less likely to be able to grow in the way we desire. The last survey was very positive but we felt then, and feel now, that an even greater percentage of respondents would help enormously in our being able to satisfy our parents’ aspiration. When the link comes, please do fill it in and tell us what you think. It is your school in which you are an integral part.
At the same time, small subcommittees of teaching and non-teaching staff will convene to examine what we do and and how well it links with our Mission, Vision and Values. Every member of staff will be involved. The school is looking forward to this process. We will, of course, be keeping you informed.
