Their homework was to make a replica of a Motte and Bailey castle which was so successful for King William 1 to ensure he had complete control over England. The standard of entries was superb and I loved seeing how creative all the students were; a number of cake castles went down a treat too! The winner of the first BVIS Motte and Bailey competition went to Khanh Linh Duong of 7B! I look forward to next year’s competition as the benchmark has been set so high by this year’s entries.
