On Wednesday, 18th November, EYFS held a Teddy Bears Picnic event for all of the EYFS children and their parents and carers to attend.
On Wednesday, 18th November, EYFS held a Teddy Bears Picnic event for all of the EYFS children and their parents and carers to attend.
Children from F1 to F3 gathered together in the EYFS Auditorium, holding tightly onto their special Teddy Bear. They all listened wonderfully as Mr. Nick read the story Going on a Bear Hunt, written by Michael Rosen. The children enjoyed joining in with the repeated refrains in the story and performing the actions for each different scene, such as for the ‘swishy swashy’ grass and the squelching mud. After the story finished the children and parents went around the EYFS Auditorium to access the different activities that had been laid out by their teachers. There was face painting, colouring sheets with teddy bears on them, books about bears (fiction and nonfiction) to read, maths puzzles to solve that centred on bears and there was even a picnic in the centre of the Auditorium, laid out with food and drink for the teddy bears to enjoy! Everyone had a wonderful time at the EYFS Teddy Bears Picnic. We look forward to holding another one next year.
