Year 1 & 2 Red Bus Tour around Tashkent As part of their topic ‘My Life, Your Life’, Year 2 have been learning to compare life in Tashkent with life in London. Having explored the landmarks of London through James Mayhew’s picture book ‘Katie in London’, we took it upon ourselves to explore the great landmarks of Tashkent from the top of a big red bus!

As part of their topic ‘My Life, Your Life’, Year 2 have been learning to compare life in Tashkent with life in London. Having explored the landmarks of London through James Mayhew’s picture book ‘Katie in London’, we took it upon ourselves to explore the great landmarks of Tashkent from the top of a big red bus!

Students made their own checklists beforehand and kept their eyes peeled on their journey for the city’s sights. The journey allowed students to make various stops around the city in order to explore the wonderful feats of architecture and engineering. When asked what their favourite landmarks were, there were plenty of varied responses with insightful reasons!

The morning was a really exciting opportunity to take their learning out of the classroom. Students particularly enjoyed having a picnic opposite Tashkent’s TV tower at their usual snack time!
