Year 8 students have been putting all their learning together to create some final pieces. This week student composers used all the compositional techniques they had acquired through the Juilliard core work- Ligeti ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txMWXvD8kL4) to compose their own, original work. In Drama class students have been devising a final piece using, flashbacks, hot seating and spoken thought to create their own explanation of the strange situation Jo found himself in. We also used the drama Juilliard creative classroom activity "Storytelling" to think about how we could start this work. Students have been and will continue to use the Performing Arts Learner Ambitions to reflect on their work with peers and during their teacher student learning conversations. Dance week is fast approaching too! Well done year 8 some very impressive work.
