HISTORY AND HERITAGE

The British International School of Washington (BISW) opened in 1998 and joined Nord Anglia Education’s global family of schools in 2013.

Through three factors – our British academic heritage, our personalized approach to learning, and our international focus – the British International School of Washington offers a unique academic experience that’s different from any other American school in the area.

Every academic year, we’re thrilled to welcome families from all around the world with open arms. In fact, we teach a wide range of students between 2 and 18 years old, who represent over 70 nationalities.
