BA (Hons), QTS
I started teaching in 2004 as a Primary School class teacher. I then moved into Secondary School PE in 2006, with most of my roles leading PE departments and borough-wide PE and sports development. I moved into international education in 2013, in Shanghai, and I have worked in Malaysia, Beijing and Guangzhou.
As Director of Physical Education and Sport, I lead on ensuring our curriculum development, programme of study, delivery and Key Stages 4 and 5 courses (GCSE PE and IBDP Sports and Exercise Health Science) are aligned with the Be Ambitious philosophy. I am involved in the ECA programme, ensuring our students have opportunities to excel.
I love to see students growing in confidence. When a student has confidence, they are more likely to take risks and try something new, without fear of failure. This is when you see real progress.
