I began teaching in 2001 in South London and have since worked in schools across London and Cambridgeshire. I also worked as a tutor to child actors for film and television. Some of the projects I worked on were Harry Potter, Defiance and the TV sitcom Outnumbered. I joined BISS in January 2010 and have grown the Film and Media department from a small room on the English corridor into an exciting creative hub where our students can thrive.
It is tremendously satisfying to see students develop their creative skills, grow as young filmmakers while also learning how to understand the increasing role that the media plays in our lives. Seeing students – who often start our course as total beginners – blossom into confident visual storytellers is very meaningful for me.
