I started teaching Music in South Africa in 2008 before moving to China to teach at the start of 2013. I took up the role of Head of Secondary Music at BISS Puxi, Shanghai in 2022. I have experience teaching across various different exam boards to EAL students from many countries.
Students bring their own musical experiences to class, and I relish the opportunity to expose them to different genres of music as they discover new favourite artists. Teamwork is another aspect of teaching Music that is a highlight for me. I enjoy the process of guiding a group of young musicians in working together towards creating a performance.
