BA (Hons), MA.
As a graduate in Asian languages and cultures from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London), I have always been interested in learning languages and exploring new cultures. This led me to attain a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from Newcastle University. Since then, I have worked as an EAL teacher in various international school settings, including our sister school The British School of Guangzhou. I also worked as a Language Assessment Consultant for the British Council in India and China for several years.
I enjoy seeing the students fully engaged with a task while they explore new language patterns to help them navigate that. It is great to see their confidence develop along with their language ability, as this allows us to create meaningful and engaging activities such as debates, blogs and vlogs, discussions on international events and more.
