Open Days
The BISS University Fair 2020 will be a great opportunity for students to meet with university representatives from around the world and learn about what their universities have to offer, what universities are looking for in their students, and how best to prepare effective applications. A selection of presentations delivered by university representatives will also be taking place on the day.
The Fair will take place from 8.45am to 11.00am on Wednesday 11 March in the Secondary Hamilton Centre. The Fair will be attended by students in Years 10, 11 and 12. Parents from all year groups are invited to attend both the Fair and university presentations, but please note if your child is not in Years 10, 11 or 12, they will not be able to miss lessons and join you at the Fair.
We are pleased to welcome university representatives from a wide range of countries including the UK, the USA, Canada, Singapore, Australia, China and mainland Europe (including universities from Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands). Universities attending so far include QS World Top 50 Institutions (such as the University of Hong Kong, the University of Sydney, and the Universities of Manchester and Bristol), and specialist institutions such as Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, Carl Benz School of KIT, the Royal Veterinary College, and the Savannah College of Art & Design. A full list of universities will be made available nearer the time.
The British International School Shanghai, Puxi, is once again celebrating outstanding IBDP results. Graduates achieved an exceptional average score of 34.5 — well above the world average of 30.
