On Monday 6 September, we ran a Welcome Evening event for our Year 12 IB students and their parents. The focus of the evening was to introduce our new IB Team and communicate the roles that we will all play in supporting the students through this outstanding programme. We also wanted to give our parents an understanding of the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and how they can help their sons and daughters in achieving the best possible experience – academically and socially.
The BISS University Fair 2020 will be a great opportunity for students to meet with university representatives from around the world and learn about what their universities have to offer, what universities are looking for in their students, and how best to prepare effective applications. A selection of presentations delivered by university representatives will also be taking place on the day.
On 19th March our Charity committee hosted a Workshop for the Huaxin Rehabilitation and Education Centre. This workshop was completely student led under the leadership of Khushi Tuli, the charity leader. The Committee worked really hard to give the parents and the children a great time.
An astounding 50 per cent of our students attained grades A*, A (or equivalent) in the I/GCSEs, two and half times the 2018 UK average of 20.5 per cent.
