Attend Our Open House
At BISC South Loop, we enhance students' learning and help them develop global awareness by facilitating a number of exciting field trips during the school year. These educational visits provide students with hands-on, real-life experiences outside of the classroom environment, and are carefully linked to one or more subjects from our broad curriculum.
Our Year 8 Spanish students recently visited historic Pilsen. To start the trip, they walked around discovering the bold, colorful murals of this iconic Chicago neighborhood. Then they visited the National Museum of Mexican Art, where they toured exhibits with a Spanish-speaking guide. When they returned to school, students used their enhanced knowledge of Mexican culture and art to create tiles that represented the field trip. Check out their creations above.
