Year 3 Lillian wins Nord Anglia Writing Competition
Each year, Global Campus holds a creative writing competition. The competition follows a theme and entries are submitted in different age categories. Throughout Autumn term, our Key Stage 2 and Middle School children worked hard to prepare entries for this year’s competition. Each school in the Nord Anglia family can participate but only 1 entry per school can be entered into each age category.

Inspired by ‘Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls’, children created a written piece about an inspirational woman linked to the UNICEF Sustainable Goal of Climate Action. They were challenged with researching their chosen person, creating their written piece in the same style as the authors of the book, and creating a visual piece of artwork to accompany the writing.
After different selection processes at school level, our family of 70 schools around the globe took part in the competition this year submitting entries across the different age groups. We are delighted to share that Lillian in Year 3 won the competition for her age category! It is a great achievement and she received some great feedback from Maithy Vu, Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls editor and GC guest judge.
" The piece is full of lively adjectives and has a rhythm in its sentence structure that makes it extremely captivating. The striking imagery within the story makes it memorable and easy to grasp."
