The Flamingos were surprised to see snow today! We have spent a lot of time talking about the weather, in the beginning of March we talked about the saying “March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb.” As we are learning about animals, we were able to come up with great describing words and descriptions to talk about the fierce lion and how certain days can feel like "lion days," dark and scary. We did the same for "lamb days" as well, though those are sunny, warm and pleasant! Our classroom has had special visitors for the month of March – Lion and Lamby. Each morning, we decide during calendar time if it is a lion or a lamb day. Then, depending on the weather, Lion or Lamby gets to hang out with a boy or girl in the class. Today was a lion day for sure, but we’re still hopeful that we’ll have more lamb days by the end of the month!
We have made our very own 3D maps of Chicago! Can you spot the famous landmarks?
