Year 4 have been on a whistle stop tour of the island of Sicily, putting their culinary hats on in the process. The children had a delicious three course tasting menu prepared by a very talented room parent! The menu consisted of:
Starter: Caprese Salad skewers (cherry tomatoes + mozzarella) with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar
Main Course: Arancini (saffron rice or rice with tomato sauce) stuffed with mozzarella cheese
Dessert: Ricotta cookies with powdered sugar icing.
This wonderful experience has inspired their persuasive writing in the form of a travel writing.
