Primary and Early Years celebrated the "International Day of Peace" on Wednesday with an assembly and different activities. Year 5/6 learned about the origin of paper cranes as a symbol of peace and tried their hand at making some origami cranes. Every child from F2 to Y6 also made a "peace pledge" - choosing something they will try to do promote peace in school, at home, or in their community. They wrote their pledge on a hand and we arranged them all in the huge peace sign, showing that when we come together, we can make something amazing.
