In the Creative Best technology, Years 7-9 are exhilarated to be designing and producing 3D prints. Students discussed the product design process from an idea to manufacture, paying emphasis to core aspects such as sustainability, biodegradable materials and recycling. We reflected on the UN Goal #12: responsible consumption and production. Later on at the manufacture stage, we will ensure our products print with minimal waste material and energy. Students researched into the aesthetics looking at similar products, various designs, lids, and color palettes. They put together a mood-board before using their creativity to finalize their own designs. Their artistic skills were put to test and students drew phenomenal technical sketches of their innovations in different perspectives. They understood the importance of accuracy and measurements and ergonomic designs.
