Summer Term

Summer Term

The summer term always seems to run at a faster pace than other terms. There is always so much going on, so much fun to be had, and much of it outside of the ordinary that always make time fly. Last Friday was prom night! I was so proud of all our High School students who turned up looking dapper and ready to impress. At the start of the evening, we had the usual crowd that stood at the edges, too cool to dance, but in no time at all, every - and I mean every student - was up dancing and having a tremendous time. The confidence they oozed was matched only by the level of fun everyone was having.

This week, Primary has been off to Camp Thunderbird, either as an over-night or day experience. I went up to visit and it was clear that our children had grown two inches taller with their level of independence and willingness to engage with the new challenges. Their new challenges included zip lines, rope courses, kayaking, and of course the annual campfire games and songs.

Foundation Stage held their annual Sports Day today with trampolines, races, and general fun had by all, albeit a little challenged by the weather. IB exams have started and we have Graduation, our school play, and so much more just round the corner. It is simply a jam-packed term.

It is important that we recognize that all this is possible because of our teachers and you, our parents. This week has been Teacher Appreciation Week and when we look at how our teachers go above and beyond to give our children some amazing learning experiences, we all know how much they are truly appreciated for everything they do. It is also worth mentioning that it is Mother’s Day this Sunday, which is a perfect opportunity to say thank you to all our moms (and dads too) for the wonderful job you do to nurture, love, inspire, and enable all our children to be the best then can be.

We can’t slow down the pace of this term, but we can run alongside it and enjoy every minute of this amazing race.
