What I love about Spring is the way it brings everyone out. When people come outside, our community feels stronger. This has been evident this week as Primary classes have enjoyed biking it! It was wonderful to see so many parents helping out, enabling, and encouraging our students to be brave, push forward, and find their center of balance. Once one student’s set of training wheels comes off, it’s amazing how motivating it is to others. Soon, they had all made the leap to freewheeling.
Our library was once again graced with the company of parents for our Camp Thunderbird residential meeting. It was strange but very comforting to see parents gathering in school.
This week has also been a busy one for High School as we underwent our IB 5 Year progress review; a challenging process conducted by the World IB Organization. I want to thank all the parents that came out and took part in this process and contributed to the school receiving a very positive report; one that acknowledged the fantastic job all our teachers and students are doing.
It was great also to see so many parents at our coffee morning outside at drop off. Thankfully, the weather was beautiful and the coffee was delicious, but the conversations and sense of community were even better.
As our Spring term came to a close, Primary Sports day was in full force. Again, you all came out in support of our students to cheer them on, be it throwing a javelin, running a race (parents included), or the traditional egg and spoon race. Our community came out; our community was united; our community is strong. Wow! We have all missed it.
Have a lovely Spring Break and we look forward to seeing you all in two weeks' time.
