Open House
Students from throughout the year groups gathered at BISB Thursday, meeting other new students, getting to know returning students and asking questions of their new teachers.
More than 75 new students will be joining the school community this year, coming from local public schools and from institutions around the world. For the new students, Thursday's event was an important part of getting to know their new place of learning.
Younger students gathered with their parents in the library Thursday morning, talking with school administration staff and some current students before heading down to their classrooms to meet their teachers and explore.
New students to the middle and high school visited Thursday afternoon, chatting with history, maths, science, English and specialist teachers and getting to know one another. Students gathered to play a series of ice breaker games, before finding their lockers and getting to know their mentors.
It was a great day that will help make the first day of school much smoother for our new students and our staff! We're looking forward to welcoming all our new families to our classrooms and our community!
