Our College and University Guidance (CUG) Department helps each student to explore higher education opportunities, understand their potential, and think about what they want to do next. We help students and parents make decisions about universities, courses, and possible career choices, providing a wealth of support and information.
1. One-to-one guidance
Students receive one-to-one support to help them decide which course and university is right for them. You can make an appointment to discuss your child's university choices, the application process, and future career pathways.
2. Help with applying to university
We work closely with each student to help them navigate their way through the university application process. We also support them with their personal statement, college essays, mock interviews, and research techniques.
3. Additional support
Each year, representatives from the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, and the Netherlands visit us in person or organise webinars to talk about their university.
We also hold University Information Evenings for Year 12 students and schedule one-to-one meetings to kick-start the research process. Through our wellbeing programme, students have the opportunity to explore a variety of academic and career pathways. They can also take part in a series of research exercises to help clarify their interests, strengths, and areas for development.
We know that making these important decisions can be challenging. Our comprehensive College and University Guidance website has a host of useful resources to help you and your child through the process. To access the site, please get in touch with our CUG team.
