This week we were privileged to have the renowned UK Singing Leader Lin Marsh come to the British International School Ho Chi Minh City to run a series of choral singing workshops with our Junior Choir, parents and staff.
Lin is a highly sought-after composer, specialising in vocal works for young people. She is also one of the UK’s most well-respected singing leaders, travelling the country inspiring students and teachers with her dynamic workshops.
Lin began her morning with our Junior Choir who explored the power of facial expressions and movement when they are singing. The Junior Choir workshop culminated in a wonderful performance of three songs which our singers had learnt only that morning for their friends and teachers. Lin then spent the afternoon singing with some of our parents and staff where the adults explored the power of different vocal qualities and singing to each other:
We are proud at BIS to call ourselves a ‘Singing School’ and this fabulous event has certainly confirmed this!
