Year 3 EAL students have been engaging with a variety of adventure stories this term. They have identified a range of adjectives and are now able to use them in sentences to describe characters and settings more effectively. We have also been learning how to write dialogue with accurate punctuation. There is a lot to remember when writing direct speech, but the students embraced the challenge and wrote lots of expressive examples. The students are now trying to vary the length of their sentences by using simple, compound and complex sentences. Keep up the fantastic work Year 3!
EAL provision at BIS HCMC
The British International School, HCMC (BIS HCMC) is committed to ensuring the appropriate provision of teaching for students with EAL needs, and to enabling all children to fully access the curriculum. For children who require some additional and specialised teaching in English we have a department dedicated solely to EAL support.
