On Sunday the 5th of November, 6 international schools in Ho Chi Minh City, including 70 musicians from BIS HCMC came together to perform at the annual charity fundraising event; Saimuse.
We are excited to announce that on Thursday 23rd November our students will be visited by Juilliard Alumni Guitar and Cello Duo Dr. Kimberley Patterson and Dr. Patrick Sutton! The duo will be performing for both our Primary and Secondary school students before holding a live question and answer session.
15 students from BIS HCMC have received an Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award to celebrate their exceptional achievement in the 2017 Summer IGCSE series, with 2 students achieving the highest standard mark in the world for Mathematics.

This month staff received training from Educational Psychologist Angie Wigford on how to help children develop Emotional Resilience. She shared with us the importance of looking after the mental health of our children and giving them strategies to cope with issues that arise in everyday life.
The Geography Department held their annual photography competition earlier than usual this year in order to link up with the Nord Anglia Education Young Photographer of the Year contest.
Over the last 18 months the BIS HCMC Primary Curriculum has undergone a complete review. We have created a bespoke Curriculum, beginning with Early Years in Foundation 1, moving into Year 1 straight through the primary years to the end of Year 9.
The Geography Department firmly believe that learning outside of the classroom plays a fundamental role in allowing our students to build a deeper understanding and a stronger connection with the world around them, along with appreciating the challenges and possibilities that may impact their lives and communities in the future.
