BIS HCMC 2020 Plastic Pledge

Children are endlessly full of interest, curiosity and questions and all these were charmingly evident this week as F3 rounded off our International Week learning to visit the various waterways at Binh Quoi Tourist Village.

Go Vap Orphanage Visit June 2018

Early on Saturday the 16th of June, 19 students across different year groups and 3 teachers had yet another unforgettable experience at Ky Quang Pagoda. Greeted with warmth, we planned engaging, fun activities with the children including our first-ever dance and singing performance as well as games, cuddling and arts and crafts.

Junior Inter-House Swim Gala 2018

Congratulations to everyone who participated at the recent Mile Post 2 and 3 Inter-House Swim Galas. A great spectacle of individual swim strokes and team relays were witnessed, with every swimmer winning house points, and tallying to an overall house team total for the event.

We developed these core skills through our IBDP Group 4 Project; using science to survive a zombie apocalypse.

BIS HCMC Primary Aquathlon 2018

Last Saturday we held our annual primary aquathlon. In the biggest turnout yet over 160 students dragged themselves out of bed at 6.00am to swim and run their hearts out. They were competing for individual and team honours as well as scoring points for their houses.

Mr Carl Mincher: Weekly Update 08/06/2018

You may know a popular song that goes … “And the rhythm of life is a powerful beat..”. Having a special meaning to us this week I found these lyrics were playing over in my mind. My recent updates have reflected on important days in BIS life and the rites of passage our students enjoy as they join us grow, flourish and move on. From the big concerts to the stage shows to sporting tournaments, to their final exams and of course to their graduation these moments punctuate the the journey and this week has certainly added to these.
